FAQs

How long does it take to edit my document?

A good rule of thumb, more or less, is 10,000 words per day. I really can’t tell with out starting the edit, as I don’t know how good or bad your writing is. And I don’t know how many other edits I will have on my table when your work comes through.

Can I book your time?

Sorry no. Even a deposit booking results in tears and acrimony. I am fast and efficient and want to work to the best of my ability, as well as treat my customers well.

Isn’t running Grammarly enough to edit my document? With examples.

No, running Grammarly is not enough. As an expert in your field, when you see a written morsel about your topic in the wide world you would read it. You are not reading about language, grammar, and written language trends. So, it is likely you are applying speech forms to your writing. Would you notice Grammarly’s error? A good editor knows more than just grammar, they know the way words live.

Example: Calling people by an adjective is not okay, e.g., females, blacks, disabled. Grammarly changed ‘the door for the disabled’, to ‘the disabled door’ (sentence meaning changed because writer used adjective to describe people)

Example: When customers cart stack on digital buying platforms, the customers’ cart stacks can be tall (position of apostrophe)
