Two issues stand out about your work. Both are unique and surpass the work of any editor/proofreader that I have worked with in my career.
The first is the detailed ‘grammar lessons’ that accompany your suggestions in the text. I have encountered only one editor that does something similar but not in your format. I would describe your format as a ‘collegial get your bum off your seat’; it’s motivating and makes one sit up and take notice.
The second issue is that you send students back if they have not even done the minimum – I love that – you are not here to write for them. Students must at least do their own basic spelling and grammar checks and proofread their work before submitting it to your office.
